the Light Bending collection
What happens when the popular technique of ICM (intentional camera movement) gets turned up to eleven? Light transforms into physical matter right before our eyes.
After years of playful experimentation and discovery a new visual language is emerging and through continued Light Bending work I am striving for fluency.

Embraced - Strong inorganic elements are juxtaposed against a vulnerable symbol of life, growth and possibility...Surreal symbolic landscape? Yes. Computer-generated art? No. Each element shown is a photograph.
Wisdom - There’s something calming and contemplative about a lone tree on a rocky cliff.
Butterfly Effect - A composite piece starting with an in-camera-movement (ICM) capture of sunset reflections in a post-storm Burnaby Heights rain puddle. While bending both light and reality my abstract works offer surprising perspectives on the ordinary.
Antelope Canyon - Created entirely from urban lights this is my imagined photo of this often photographed spot in the USA.
Abstract pieces from my Light Bending series work great as diptychs!
